House

Looking to Dining Room from Entrance

The house has high, pre-War ceilings, antique Chestnut woodwork, and quiet hot-water heat. It is in Dunellen, a small, tightly-knit town on the Raritan Valley train line into Manhattan. The neighborhood is a mix of single and two-family houses most with 50'x150' yards and stately, old trees. Dunellen has a small downtown area, within easy walking distance, and probably the best bagels in New Jersey (Dunellen Bagel). The house is two blocks from Dunellen Station, and 55 min from Penn Station, New York by train.

This is the view from the entrance, looking (L) through the living room into the dining room, and (R) at the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. (Both currently under renovation.) Further to the right are the stairs.
